No more annoying pullback when you insert your composites!

The popular CompPlus™ is titanium coated – making it the best non-stick composite filling instrument available. The more precise you are with placement of your composites, the less time you spend on gross reduction and polishing.

Engineered for control and efficiency, CompPlus™ allows clinicians to smoothly manipulate composite materials with improved handling, reduced sticking, and enhanced anatomical shaping. The balanced ergonomic design supports both anterior and posterior restorative procedures, making it a versatile addition to any restorative setup.

Four tip styles cover your entire restorative workflow:

  • Acorn — bulk composite placement and initial adaptation in posterior teeth
  • #4 Thin Paddles — anterior interproximal placement and Class III/IV restorations
  • #34/29 — occlusal anatomy shaping and fissure definition
  • W-3 — universal paddle for anterior and posterior procedures

Pairs well with our Seamfree non-stick agent

Why Dentists love CompPlus™?

Titanium-Coated Non-stick

The titanium coating makes the instrument non stick - giving smooth placement without excessive sticking or drag.

Helps make shaping easier

Design, shape, and contour fillings precisely the way you want prior to curing.

Light weight handle

Light weight and easy to use. The handle has an enhanced grip pattern making it stay in your hands as you switch from end to end.

FAQ

Commonly asked questions about CompPlus™

CompPlus™ is titanium coated and non-slip. This allows for smoother manipulation of material and more precise shaping compared to traditional composite instruments. No "annoying pullback"!

Four styles are available: Acorn, #4 paddles, #34/29, and W-3.

Each of the four CompPlus™ tip styles is designed for a specific restorative application:

  • Acorn — Ideal for bulk composite placement and initial adaptation in posterior teeth. The rounded acorn shape allows you to pack and condense composite into Class I and Class II preparations efficiently before initial shaping.
  • #4 Thin Paddles — Best for anterior restorations and interproximal work. The thin paddle profile slides easily into tight contact areas, making it the go-to tip for Class III and Class IV composite placement and marginal adaptation.
  • #34/29 — Designed for occlusal anatomy carving and fissure definition in posterior teeth. Use this tip to create cusp anatomy, define marginal ridges, and establish occlusal form on Class I and Class II restorations before curing.
  • W-3 — A versatile universal paddle tip that works across both anterior and posterior procedures. Great for smoothing, blending, and final surface contouring before light curing.

For best results, pair any tip with Seamfree™ non-stick wetting agent to further reduce composite adhesion and improve overall handling.

The titanium coating reduces composite adhesion to the instrument surface, helping prevent sticking, dragging, or pulling during placement and sculpting. This allows for smoother manipulation of composite material, improved control during anatomical shaping, and more predictable surface finishing before curing.

The CompPlus™ Method is a streamlined restorative workflow designed to improve composite handling efficiency and final restoration quality:

  1. Apply a Seamfree wetting agent to reduce surface tension and improve composite adaptability
  2. Use CompPlus™ to place, shape, and contour composite with controlled anatomical form creation
  3. Bonus! Use a The Microtray® to turn your hand into a mini workbench.

This workflow helps clinicians achieve more predictable marginal adaptation and improved anatomical control during direct restorations.
